We have enjoyed a consistent level of growth during this time, which we attribute to our continued strive for excellence in both the services we provide and the level of design skills by us.
Derek uses the latest available technologies in his daily activities. Your designs can be prepared on a CAD platform that has been adapted to best service all aspects of architectural design and drafting. This then allows us to produce a comprehensive model of your home which can be viewed at any angle to allow you to visualise the end product before it is built. This is an invaluable tool which has enhanced the entire design process.
Once we have produced your drawings we can also carry out any calculations needed for steel work or structural elevations, using our in house structural engineers, making the drawings ready for Building Regulations Approval. The calculations will be included in the overall package ready for your local Council and of course this will all be priced and allowed for automatically within our software and included in your estimate!
We understand property and we also understand how to develop property to maximize existing space and provide an extension when required that is seamless.
History of Architecture
Back in the 17th century as well as in Italy, you’ll discover this is about the time of the baroque architecture. This is an extremely early style of architecture, but a very beautiful style.
Taking the renaissance architecture and modifying it to a new theatrical, sculptural fashion, Baroque architecture turned into a very fanciful, extravagant sort of structural design. When it comes to the renaissance style, it was designed for a more wealthy society, after which the baroque architecture became some interest when using the Roman Catholic Church. The concerns were for light, shade and color intensity and Baroque found its secular expression in grand palaces first in France, then throughout Europe.Remember that the Chateau de Maisons is still in France and it is known as a huge area of the baroque architecture.
Some of the famous though of the Baroque architecture pieces is St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. In terms of the Vatican City, you will notice that it is one of the most beautiful. Topped having its towering dome, it's a notable feature in the Roman skyline. In terms of baroque structures you will find that it can be grand in both ornaments and grand. As baroque moved through Europe, it eventually took on the style of European Colonialism. As regards to England, it's the Greenwich hospital located in London that is probably the most beautiful, English examples of this type of architecture.
The adobe architecture was a few of the earliest structures. This kind of structures where made from natural materials like dung, straw, sand, and clay. There are other materials which are used as well. The adobe is formed into bricks. Then a bricks are dried under the sun much like cob and even mud bricks. The structures become extremely durable. They are used mainly in hot, arid climates basically because they remain cool in the summertime and release heat very slowly within the winter. The same mixture, without having the straw is utilized for mortar in placing the dried adobe bricks together to form a structure. Then there are some which use a lime-based cement as for plaster so as to add protection for those wet months. The thickness of the adobe bricks is vital in the architecture. This is what will keep the structure cool in the recent months and warm within the cold months. The largest structure ever erected from Adobe was the Bam Citadel. But it suffered serious damage from an earthquake in 2003.
The Huaca del Sol in Peru is another grand adobe structure that was founded from over 100 million signed bricks. In terms of the worlds largest adobe architecture might erected from 500 BC and it is referred to as the citadel of Arg-e-Bam. The world of Bam Citadel is 180,000 square meters and it is surrounded by walls 6-7 meters high and 1815 meters in length, full-scale of Adobe. Whenever the gates to the city were closed, no human or animal could enter. This can be a city that is self-contained, but it has use of gardens and cattle all within the city. When it comes to adobe architecture it is a little bit different when it comes to placing a roof situated on the structure. You will notice that the roofs where made of wood or metal, but then you will find dried adobe bricks placed on top of the structure and plastered in which to stay place on the roof.
